does anyone know of any big game animals in beligum that are readily huntable in the late spring/early summer period?

Try googling for big game hunt in Belgium. I didn't find much. Netherlands is the closest I found to Belgium. http://www.knjv.nl/page.asp?id=821
I have a feeling that you might be more successful in a northern European country where they actually manufacture great rifles, like Finland. They know how important firearms in the hands of citizens are, from their time of fighting the Russians.

Like so many Socialist European countries, you may not even be able to get a firearm into the country, much less hunt with it. But what the heck, do your research. If it's legal and you can get a rifle into the country or buy/rent one there and hunt, more power to you.
