I'm not that good at guessing weight, but after she was dressed, had her legs cut off, and was cut in half, I'd say the back half weighed maybe 300lbs. The front half (without the head) weighed slighly less. It took a couple of us not quite an hour to drag the two halves about 300 yards over the sagebrush and through some trees. Granted, I had food poisoning and was vomiting the whole time, so it was more like the equivilant of 1.25 people dragging.[8D] But either way, she's pretty good sized and should provide a decent amount of meat.

Nice photo, it catches a lot....

.... for me, if the hunting is all done, then it is a GREAT photo....

On the other hand, if it is the opening day of the season and at dawn I can see my wall tent, even if it is a spike camp, then I've screwed up as I am not positioned.

As of Saturday, all of our tags are filled. We were up on the moutain by 6:30am, and had our last cow down at 1:00pm. Saw over 50 head while we were sneaking through the timber, all split up in smaller herds. Would have had one down before noon, but there were too many branches in the way to make the shot. Great end to a fun season.
