Guided Elk Hunts

I'm looking for recommendations on guided elk hunts. Also, besides calling references provided by guides, is there anyway to check out a guides reputation?
I would like to hunt New Mexico, Wyoming,Montana or Utah.

For New Mexico I would recommend Mick Chapel of New Mexico Big Game Outfitters. He also hunts in Arizona if you are fortunate enough to get a tag. The other guy I know of is Ron Dube from Wyoming. Dube's area is in a very remote (8 hours in on horseback) area that borders Yellowstone. His area is one of the few that offer a rifle season during the bugle season.

For Wyoming I would recommend either Dean Johnson in Cody, or Maury Jones in Jackson.
