No problem Bob, glad you connected. I expect you will be back on the ridge humpin my elk out if I get any gumption to go. I took today off as I don't have a single muscle that isn't sore. I logged about 21 miles total on my feet yesterday. Today I kicked up a fire, took care of a little business, and the rest will be spent with my out of shape butt on the couch.
Let me say this though, Montana Bob scouted the area, worked hard all archery season, got up in the dark and started hiking, and logged 5.3 miles just to get into his area. He quartered, guttted, skinned, and cooled the animal, packed it up a nasty slope. Most importantly he stayed positive and enthusiastic even when I wasn't. I was ready to put me rifle down and quit for the year as I just had spent to much time, money, and energy on hunting already, not to mention the massive amounts of time I took from work. Packing that bad boy out yesterday/last night made me have a change of heart. Once we finally got the last piece back to the truck, I had a real satisfying feeling, and I wasn't even the trigger man. Good job Montana Bob, and congrats.

Either a 300 RUM or a 338 RUM per the story.... and I thought folks who use magnums like thatcan't hit.... at least that seems to be the"common opinion" out thereanytime the proof isn't right there looking folks rightin the face.
