My idaho elk hunt is all but canceled, my buddies that live out there are way behind on their potato harvest and arnt gonna be able to go, So unless I go by myself or hunt up another group to go with Im gonna be eating a tag and plane ticket, ugh.

I have an A tag for 17, 19,16a and 20. Im flying into Idaho Falls on sunday the 22nd.

I have no clue where those areas are,I know where Idaho Falls is.I think they are hunting up by Orifino.

I have a cabin near 16a and 17. Those are all back country units and not really a place you're going to want to hunt by yourself. Unfortunately, my tag isn't good for those units but if you can make it up north here I'll be more than happy to show you where you need to go and help you out anyway I can.

Ive hunted in 17 with just my dad and 2years ago, and both of got elk, so Im framilier with whats needed to do with packing one out and just how vast and tough the terrian is. And I rented a sat. phone already.

I can offer you a place to stay as I will be there also. If you're hunting the Elk City side of 17 it's kind of a long ways for you to drive though.Also,snow could prevent easy travel over the top to Elk City at any time.

You'd be better off staying in Elk City. If you need help locating phone numbers or anything just let me know. I have friends there but they live on a government compound and aren't able to have people stay.

Thank you very much BA, I really appreicate it, right now as long as my buddys can dig up a 4x4 for me Ill be hunting solo back along the selway, but if not I may take you up on your offer. Thanks again.
