Typical Buck
Pulled the kids out of school and spent a couple of days playing this past week. The animals had been hunted for a couple of days and were quite spooked. The first pic is of a family friend. His first antelope hunt. Nice buck.

My 17 yr old with a good sized doe.

The 14 yr. old with a fawn. Always the sensitive one, she bawled for a minute for having shot a fawn ("I thought it was a doe dad!") and then gutted it out and rushed us back to camp to fry up the tenderloins.

My 12 yr old. First hunt with her first animal. This little gal worked her butt off, making several long belly crawl stalks to only have them not come together. Never complained. Finally got her self within 150 yds of a spooky herd yesterday morning and took this nice little fawn.

I took this buck--missed by the 12 yr old the day before. Would have smiled for the camera but had just dragged the bloody fool thing about 400 yds up hill to a two track we could get the truck to and was bemoaning the long term effects of my desk job.

The younger kids back at camp doing what little kids do best.

Crawdads like antelope too!

Oneanimal that would have no doubt prefered a bullet than this end...

With my and the three kids' animals, weended up with a total of 120 lbs of lean meat. Not bad considering two were fawns.

Congrats! Great Pictures. It's good to see that you can get the whole family involved in hunting, and even be successful at it.

How about a little info on the weaponry... Read in another post that your girls usedH&R 243's. What did you and your son use? How long were the shots? Where were you hunting?

Fantastic family outing and great pictures, your children will never forget it. I can't wait until my children are old enough to accompany me on a hunting trip out West.

Nice animals! My daughter always wants to see the girls hunting. She turned three a few months ago and shoots with me and her brother. She sets on my lap and goes through every mag i read with me. I would love to take my son out there. Was that a DIY hunt or did you go through an outfitter?
