ya well we did come back the next day also with my dog like i said we followed it for a kilometer or so than there was just tracks and it ended up just walking down a creek for a long ways so im not sure what else we could of done in terms of looking for it.
I tracked a measley little whitetail doe for 1.5 miles once. In the end I was on my hands and knees crawling looking for tracks. I found her in the end by checking the watering hole close to the last known track.

OBTW, broadside shot at 32 yards with a hoyt Magnatech drawing 68 lbs. Muzzy 100 gr. broadheads. Hit a rib and deflected posterior. Clipped one lung and exited just anterior of the hind quarter.Left tremendous blood trail for first 300 yards then just dried up. Thats the thing with bows even good shots can go bad. Its our responsibility as hunters to do everything in our power to retrieve our quarry.

Not trying to preach at you at all! I'm sure you guys are just sick about the whole situation.
