Caribou hunt - follow along
Well im leaving in 5 days for my Caribou hunt and thought I would let anyone thats interested they are welcome to follow along on my hunt. I set up a blog (website) where I will be putting up a diary of the hunt with pictures. I have it started and will add to it when I get back on a day by day basis. This will be shared as it happens so sit back and enjoy.

You should be able to get close enough with your bow. How many days are you hunting? Last year 4 of us archers were tagged out in 4 days, all with two bulls. Spent the last 3 days fishing and hiking. It was the best hunt I have been on. My dad shared the same sentiment and he has been going on big game hunts for 30 years. You will love it! The animals are even more impressive than I ever imagined, and the terrain is just spectacular. DO NOT forget at least knee high rubber boots. Glass from the ridge tops, see where they are headed and get ahead of them. Their sense of smell either isn't as good as deer and elk, or they don't know what human smells like because they never picked me up when I thought they would have. Use the small elevation changes in the terrain to sneak up on them if you are hunting an open area. Their hearing is amazing so walk slowly and creep up on them. Don't give up on the bow, you may strike out a few times but keep after it and eventually you will figure them out. It is a hunt you will never forget.

ROBERT!!!!!!!!!!
I thought you fell off the earth here. Didnt know you had another handle made. I need to call you when things settle down and BS. I was going to call you aways back but my son ended up in the Hospital and out of school for a month. It was hectic around here sorry about that!!! Huntingson, Thanks for the advice. We are hunting for 5 full days and 2 half days for a total of 6 days. The terrain where we are is rocky and there is trees to hide behind and stalk. Cant wait to get up there and see what its like!!!
