real nice. My season starts tomorrow for them. I don't get to hunt over water though since I have too much of the wet stuff for them to choose from. I'll be doing spot and stalk and sitting in the blind at fence crossings!

I read the story on the Archery board and just wanted to say congrats!

I like the character in those horns. Talk about a real perfect heart shape.

Thanks cherokee, I shoot a ton of 3-d, and thats right where the 11 ring is. At 18 yards, it makes it a little easier.

You got a nice one there as well young man.

Good job Elkcrazy,

How far did go in (away from the road??)?? We're you guys camping??

If so, you're doin some "hard core antelope hunting":D:D:D....and it obviously paid off:D

How was the overall population of antelopes in the area where you were hunting?? (you do not have to devulge the area, just wondering in general).
Thanks and again, good job.

RE: 2006 antelope buck

We in fact were doing some hardcore hunting. It was 2 hour drive into the mountains, then a 2 hour atv ride from where we parked. We saw on the average over 100 goats a day, not all at our hole, but glassing the hillsides. Mine fell within 50 yards of sprinting, and the one my buddy killed yesterday went 25 yards before piling up. We hunted from a plywood blind that was taken in earlier this year to get them used to it. We slept under the stars in the desert and listened to the yotes singing all night. Each night the skies were filled with meteors. We were up and traveled 6 miles to the blind each morning, and were set up before the sun rose. We saw yotes, rabbits, ibis, and sage hen all in the hole at the same time every morning. Here is a pic of my buddies goat from yesterday.
