You gotta go west my man. I have hunted bear, moose and caribou but elk are the best.
Just my opinion of course.

Guess not everybody hunts elk. Talk about Bear, Moose or Caribou and yeah I get pumped. But I guess that depends on what part of the world you live in.

I've got my guns all ready for dove, duck, goose, and deer seasons. The dog's ready to hunt...I think...Getting ready to start getting stands/blinds ready. And next week, we go in and clean up all the shooting lanes.

This will have to do for me this year since I don't get to make the trip to CO/KS this year. Too much $$ to get there, and not enough vacation time saved up.

You happy now?

Well it's kinda hard to get all excited when ya don't even know if there's going to be any land open that hasn't burnt........then the areas that will be open will be over ran by the ones that were burnt out!!!! might just sit this year out!!!!!!!!!!

Not me! I will find a place to hunt if there are fires.Seems like a lot of fires during bow season then the winter hits and wipes them out.At least it will be good hunting in about 4 years after the fires.I know a lot of places I have hunted,I think they could use some fires. So much brush and undergrowth and windfalls because of the beetle kill.So I think fires are good in certain areas.
Hope you get to hunt!!
