Check out the Remington Corelokt sabots. I think that they are 385 grains (built like a rifle bullet) and they clock at 1900 fps out of the muzzle. That puts it in the 45-70 power spectrum, which is certainly more than enough medicine if you are keeping your shots under 100 yards.
