Idaho Wolves

Idaho had it's hearing on the plan to take 75% of the wolf population out of the Lolo Zone after scientific research has shown that the elk population will not survive the booming wolf population in the area. At that hearing in Boise, twice the number of wolf advocates showed up as did wolf opposition. The advocates call themselves "The Defenders of Wildlife" and are basically the anti-gun and hunting group. One of the thoughts behind the anti-hunting is that if the wolves devistate the deer and elk populations enough, the Fish and Game will have no choice but to stop hunting in those areas. In time, with nothing to hunt, people will loose interest in hunting and guns. It is an intelligent long term plan if you are an anti-hunter. They claim that it is all a lack of habitat issue. Later on the day of the meeting The Idaho Fish and Game recieved over 41,000 e-mails against the plan to remove part of the wolf population to save our elk and 65% of those people claimed to be from Idaho (wich I find hard to believe). To make a long story short, if you believe in hunting, Idaho could desperately use your help in making a stand for our elk! Please get on the Idaho Fish and Game web site and e-mail them showing support for removing part of the wolf population from Idaho.
