ladder stands?

Been considering buying a 16-20ft ladder stand for deer / bear hunting. Anyone have any tips on what to buy? What stands do you recomend, or which ones should I stay away from. Any input would be appreciated!

I have hunted out of a ladder stand and don't really like them. I much prefer a strap on ladder and a hang on stand. Don't spend a fortune on them, though, River's Edge and Gorilla make good equipment at afair price. Jim

To each their own I guess. I use nothing but ladder stands. They're lightweight, easy to put upand take down and not very expensive. No reason for a 20 footer. They start at about $80.00 and go up depending on how many bells and whistles you want to add to the basic stand. I've had them for years with no problems.

I just picked up 2 loggy bayou's ,they make a model that is kinda narrow that would work great for bow hunting ...you reallysouldn't have any problems no matter what brand you go with ...
