12g partition sabots for bear
 
would a 3" 12g partition bullet on a sabot designbe agood bear stopping round.

For black bears yes, browns I would prefer something else.

Absolutely, it would be exactly like shooting them with a fairly heavily loaded 45-70.

It's a 385 grain , 45 caliber, nosler partition leaing the muzzle at aproximately 2000 fps and generating aproximately 3400 foot pounds of energy. It's gonna hit hard being a 45 caliber bullet and the very shallow hollow point will expand and transfer energy immediately and the partition design will ensure deep penetration.

It would be as good a bear stopping round as any other I would want to carry. And if shot out of a pump gun very quick on follow up shots.
