my 2005 wyoming antelope
I shot this buck east of buffalo on opening day of rifle season. We were driving around and spotted him running at 200 yards. I misses him 3 times. once at 100 yards once at 200 and thought i hit it so shot again at 500. He ran over a hill and I spotted him and dropped him at 300 yards. The horns are 11" long and 13 1/8" wide. Is that wide for an antelope? This was my first trip hunting out of state and had lots of fun.

RE: my 2005 wyoming antelope
The pic makes it hard to tell but I check the length again, He looks more like a 13" buck than an 11" from its shape.

RE: my 2005 wyoming antelope
Nice buck! I've got one on the wall that goes right at 13.5" inside spread.
Unfortunately, inside spread does not score on an Antelope. If you can, find a Pope & yOung or Boone & Crocket score sheet to help with the scoring. There is boxes for the tip to tip and inside spread measurement, but they do not add to the overall score. It will also show how to properly measure your rack. I'm going to try and upload a score sheet, but don't hold your breath. ![]() |
