Alaska hunts
I am a Canadian, and forgive me if I am ignorant to the laws regarding hunting in alaska.
I am curious if it is possible to hunt in Alaska (for Kodiak bear, sheep, or sitka deer) with a resident, or is it required to have a guide to do these hunts? I know there are some hunts in the Northern States (Montana I believe) that as a Canadian I can put in for draws, but I was curious if anyone has any info on Alaska?? Thanks in advange guys. |
RE: Alaska hunts
Kodiak bear requires a guide or a resident who is immediate family.

RE: Alaska hunts
Canadians are required to hunt with a guide for all species of big game in Alaska because they're considered non-resident aliens. Here's a link to the hunting regs. Page 10 details this...
