Montana Archery Moose Pics

I shot this moose on Oct. 4th. I called him in to 3 yards, I had to scare him away by yelling at him and waving my bow, he was straight on and still coming straight at me, I about cr@ped my pants. I ended up shooting him at 8 yards broadside after scaring him away. He is a little over 40" wide and has a cool 4" drop tine off his left brow tine. I shot him in district 293. Used a Martin Cougar Mag, 7595 Gold Tips and 100 grain Thunder Heads. I got a pass through and found the arrow 20 yards past where he was standing, the arrow and broadhead are in perfect condition just real bloody! He went about 80 yards.

Good Job, thats what I want. My guess is you got it in the "Bob" or the West Kootenai ? I've been applying for 5 yrs with out sucksess but I am accumulateing bonus points each year. I know of a couple ponds up here where they frequent quite offtend. During the rut last month I encountered two bulls bluffing one another, I got my camera out of my back pack to take some pictures and stalked in closer but then the bulls were bringing there battle right towards me at 20 yrds and me with no place to go, in the excitement of trying not to get stompped, I forgot to take any pictures and I had the camera in my hand. Dip$hit. They knew I was there and didn't give a crap, and you talk about feeling small.
Just curious how many yrs you've been applying till you got drawn?

Buglin Big Bulls, I was doing bull grunts when I called him in, he already had a cow and he was coming to kick my butt. That long cut is actually just blood coming out of the exit wound, i suppose I should have wiped it off before takingthe pictures.

121553, I shot him in the upper Blackfoot, district 293. I have been applying for the tag for 19 years. Now I have to wait 7 years to apply again. So it will be a long time before I draw again if ever.

Conglads on a dandy bull !! I'm playing the points game both here in Colorado & WY. I may have a chance next year in WY----I've got 6 points & several were drawn last year with 6. Colorado--I've the the max points but it's better odds to win Power Ball !!

Conglads again on a nice bull & a great hunt !!
