It can happen to anyone. Hunt long enough and one year something will go wrong. Sounds like that bull ran into another group so I'm sure it ended up in freezer. I feel for ya.

Sure wish it could have a big elk in there to, i lost some elk meat this year when i went back to pack it out someone had already been there and took over half of my elk meat i just wound up with about 100 lbs or so broke horns and their pocket knife.
