Official 525 lbs! Day two of the (Ontario)bearseason, 07 Sep 05, around 7:30 PM. 30 yards out and slightly quartering away. Double lung hit and still made it 150 to200 yards.Parker phoenix 34 bow set at 63 lbs, gold tip carbon shaft and Slick Trick broadhead. Bear was in view 20 mins before I took him. The fellow skinning with my son Matthew is Ron Stinson of Buck Lake Outfitters located literally 5 minutes from our hunt camp.Check it out at:http://www.bucklakeoutfitters.com/ If you hunt with Ron, Pete and Gary of Buck Lake Outfittersyou don't have to travel to Manitoba to get a trophy bear. Um, not to start anything, but does anyone else think that this bear will not make it much past the 350# mark. It is a nice bear, but I think the weight is a little high. Could be the picture though, but it just dosen't seem to have the body of a 500# bear. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers.
Also for anyone that is interested, the Ontario bear season starts on August 15th.
Congrats on the bear. Any idea what it scored?

Keep in mind I weigh 230 lbs. My bear is field dressed in the photos. The bear my son is skinning is just over 200 lbs. Mine is hanging on the far left in the photo. There was a garage full of American bear hunters when it was weighed. Al[/align]
