this topic seems to come up every year around this time but i aint seen it yet this season.

So watcha gunna hunt this year and when??

i get to start in sept just 7 more days

sept - antelope
oct -1 mule deer
oct -1 black bear
oct-15 elk
nov- canadian moose
nov-march coyote and cottontail

Mulies and elk. Didn't get drawn for antelope. Always a few grouse and the odd snowshoe while hunting the big stuff.
Always make my charitible contribution to game and fish to carry bear and lion tags. May actually try calling in a lion later in the season.

Will hunt cow elk with a muzzleloader from September 19-27. After that, will hunt rabbits and upland birds whenever I can. Also havea Mt. Lion tag and will chase them with hounds this winter.

May get extraarchery cow tag but for sure muzzle loader bull and mulie with rifle

Sept 4 - 11 - Caribou
Sept 24 - Ducks
Sept 25 - Oct 2 - Moose
Oct - Waterfowl and Upland Birds
Begining - Mid Nov - Canadian Whitetail
Late Nov - Dec 11 - NH Whitetail

This year will be whitetail, black bear, wild boar, and maybe elk. As far as small game goes, I will be out for rabbit and squirrel pretty often, and out for ringnecks and quail with a dove hunt that hasn't been planned yet, but might happen lol.

started last weekend with deer/bear bowhunt, next two wkends the same, then New Mexico elk bowhunt, then northern california deer/bear gun, then Utah mule deer/gun, then Colorado late season elk/gun, then back to Ca. for coyote/bobcat/pig and last but not least Alabama in jan for a deer/gun hunt.....life is GOOOOD !!

it looks like some of you all might be hunting a new wife by the time the fall is over.:D

for me:
september- elk/deer/bear hunt
october- archery whitetail at home
november- whitetail at home
maybe some phesants if I get the chance this fall.

Sept 1-15 = geese
Sept 18-24 = pronghorn
Oct-dec - whitetails and ducks

August 29-Sept 6th, caribou, moose, grizzly, sheep, blackbear......whatever we find basically.

October - pronghorn, ptarmigan, grouse

Nov. Late moose if we have not gotten one by then.

Dec. Sitka blacktails

I'll probably go pheasant hunting a few times in the upcoming season as well.

Nov 19- Dec. 11 Regular whitetail season
January and February small game

Sept 1-30 : LEH California Bighorn Ram Hunt
Sept 10-Oct 20 : 6x6 or bigger elk season
Sept 10-Oct 30: 4 point mule deer season
Sept 10-Nov 25 : Whitetail season
Sept 20- End Oct : Immature bull moose season
Oct-Nov : Turkey
