That is a fantastic bull no doubt but I gotta ask. And please don't be offended.

Seeing as how you got such a big bull in the back of a pick up truck whole exactly how did you hunt / shoot this bull?

Did you honestly hunt him or did you drive around and get out of a truck and shoot him?

Thats a Pennsylvania Bull.

Harmon E. Silloway, 39, of Sanday Lake, Mercer County (and his son, Austin)
He took the heaviest bull elk in 2004: an 806-pound, 7x7 at 7 a.m. on Nov. 8, in Elk Management Area 9, Jay Township, Elk County.

Heres the link.

Yep that is me, Took 6 of us about 5 hours to drag him one mile to the road. Found a guy with a high lift to put him in my truck. I was drawn out of 25k that put in for the hunt. This was 100% in the wild and fair chase. Pa has about 800 elk that roam wild.

PaRu, the elk here in Pa is 100% free range. I've seen them along pine creek in Lycoming county and of course in elk county. As was stated earlier the Pa herd isn't exactly big in comparison to other states but if you're lucky enough to draw a tag it's up to you and you alone to hunt them and fill it. Congrats on a nice elk.;)

Yes the elk here in Pa are free roaming, I was asigned an area that was about 150 Sq miles.

And My bull was in the Kingsoutdoorworld.com trophy room contest. I lost by 86 votes to a Ohio whitetail. Lost out on a $1200.00 pr of binos...Oh well had fun.

I would give up 10 pairs of $1200 binos for a elk of that size. Taken under fair chase conditions unguided and with my bow of course!
