Not only do 99% of the people dream of bulls like that, 99% also wonder how to get them out whole!!!!
|
RE: 407 5/8 Bull
That is a fantastic bull no doubt but I gotta ask. And please don't be offended.
Seeing as how you got such a big bull in the back of a pick up truck whole exactly how did you hunt / shoot this bull? Did you honestly hunt him or did you drive around and get out of a truck and shoot him? |
RE: 407 5/8 Bull
I bet Idaho because that is where all the big bulls are.... duh.
And i bet he gutted it and then winched in out, i know of a few people that winch their elk out whole every year. |

RE: 407 5/8 Bull
Thats a Pennsylvania Bull.
Harmon E. Silloway, 39, of Sanday Lake, Mercer County (and his son, Austin) He took the heaviest bull elk in 2004: an 806-pound, 7x7 at 7 a.m. on Nov. 8, in Elk Management Area 9, Jay Township, Elk County. Heres the link. http://www.pgc.state.pa.us/pgc/cwp/view.asp?a=460&q=163348 |
RE: 407 5/8 Bull
Yep that is me, Took 6 of us about 5 hours to drag him one mile to the road. Found a guy with a high lift to put him in my truck. I was drawn out of 25k that put in for the hunt. This was 100% in the wild and fair chase. Pa has about 800 elk that roam wild.

And My bull was in the Kingsoutdoorworld.com trophy room contest. I lost by 86 votes to a Ohio whitetail. Lost out on a $1200.00 pr of binos...Oh well had fun. |

I would give up 10 pairs of $1200 binos for a elk of that size. Taken under fair chase conditions unguided and with my bow of course! |
