Canada caribou hunt
Anyone know good cheap outfitter in Canada where I could domy 1stcaribou hunt for a reasonable price? Really not looking to spend a lot of money, I'd be travelling from VA so something "close" is preferred. Thx!

RE: Canada caribou hunt
Cheap to some maybe expensive to others. Not sure what you can tolerate.
We went two years ago and had a blast. We did a good bit of research and opted to feed and cook for ourselves, but we did hire an outfitter to provide lodging and boat/air transportation. Expect nothing less than $3,500. |
RE: Canada caribou hunt
I appreciate the help, but $3,500 is way out of my budget. Maybe for next year. One of my bros friends has been a lot and spends 1/3 of that which is what I was hoping for. I'll talk to him and find out exactly how he brings back several caribou for so cheap...

Please do that coolbrze0, & let us all know. I have a (once in a lifetime) bowhunt for bou planned soon, but I'd love to be able to afford to hunt em regularly.

RE: Canada caribou hunt
I am doing a Caribou Hunt in Northern Quebec this November 22nd-26th. I think my dad said it is around $1600 a person, not completly positive on that. Here is the place we are staying.
http://members.tripod.com/dom_desmarais/index.html For you it would be an incredibly long drive, for us it is a 36 hour drive from Detriot Michigan |
RE: Canada caribou hunt
I was going to recommend a winter caribou hunt in Quebec. Very cheap, high success, but very cold! I think that there is a thread on that in the regional forums under the "other areas" forum.
