Elk scouting trip for 7-30

We went scouting this weekend and after a lot of work and problems I bumped into 5 bulls at 15 yards. Three were definately magazine quality and the others were about 3 years old. I got some bad quality pictures of three of them. Hopefully I can post them. Later we glassed about 40 cows and calves and 7 additional bulls. It was great. Now I am at work, working as you can tell. I also saw a cinnamon bear cub and about 20 mule deer with about 5 being bucks.

Here are two additional bulls. They are hard to see. The one on the right is a solid 6x6 and the one on the left is a small 4x4. This was at 35 yards. Public land.

Nice flicks... Looks like youve got a great area come fall!
I need to start packing a camera more myself. Took my 3 year old colt fora ride this morning and watched a cow elk and a nice set of healthy twins graze in a meadow approx. 60 yrds off. Kickin my butt now I didnt have a camera.

Right before I found the elk, I found a large area that had every tree raked. The area is scrub oaks and they don't have big trunks, but all the branches were broken. It was definately from this year. The only question is what is doing this? The deer and elk all still have 100% velvet.
