Moose in Newfoundland

leaving in 5 days for my moose hunt. So what is customary for these outfitters there as far as tipping goes? Or for your guide?

sometimes all the hunters in camp will take a collection for the camp staff usually about$50 per man or each hunter will tip them on thier own about the same amount. as far as tipping your guide there are many variables first was he any good? some guides cant do enough for you others you can hardley get to do anything.2 are you the only hunter that he has for the week? i have tipped my guides between $100 and $300 . there is no right or way to tip do whatever you feel comfortable with. have a great time and i hope you get a big one.

I went last year to Newfoundland. I was caribou hunting and the guiding was 2 on 1. My guide to an outstanding job. I tipped him $150 and the cook $50.

Enjoy our trip!
