I'm looking for North American Mountain Goats. I don't think I'd consider hunting any animal outside it's native habitat. I'm only interested in North American Animals. I understand that I will probably need a guide for this animal. I've seen quite a few on other hunts but was unable to draw a tag. Any advice would be much appreciated.

British Columbia. But you'll have to use a guide.

If you are after a trophy goat look for outfitters around the smithers/terrace bc area, there are plenty of goats in the area, tough hunting but if you are in shape it should be no problem.

From everything I have read, BC would probably be your best bet. Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Nevada all have goats. I think Colorado and Washington do to, but not sure. You can hunt all but Wyoming without a guide, but odds of drawing are steep, as are the prices of the tags. Nevada will run you $1400 with tag and license. Wyoming is $1800. Not sure about Idaho, Montana, or the others. It all comes down to how you want to hunt, and how long you want to wait. I would go for BC, and keep applying for all the states I can until I draw. I think all of them are once in a lifetime, and I am sure it would be worth it!! Here in Nevada the success rates are typically over 80% every year, and a lot of years 100%.

Try this link. I have hunted with them and their prices are reasonable.I saw a few goats and wasn't hunting for them.

Kodiak Island has some great goats! The population has exploded and there are plenty of goats. You will need a guide to hunt them. Juneau and the Ketchikan area also have goats. There are also charter outfits that you hunt out of a boat from Valdez.
