RE: Spring Bear Success (Pic)
I was able to see the pic. I highlighted it and copy/pasted it into my adress bar. Nice looking bear! It had nice pads and claws, from what I saw. What part of the province? No rubs? Did you see any other "color phase" bears? What caliber were you using?

Now I can see him. That is a beautiful boar! Congrats and thanks for sharing.
What are you going to do w/ him for a mount? |
RE: Spring Bear Success (Pic)
Thanks guys, I think my smile says it all. :D
Coyboy Al, It's a Idaho bear from my home state and ya I can't beleive he made well into June with no rubs and no hair loss on his muzzle either. Ihuntedselfguided and saw9 bears in 6 weeks of hunting, all were some variety of brown in color. Infact, I haven't seen a black bear in over two years. I used a 280 rem. with a 150 gr.bullet. Western MA Hunter, I am going to do a half body wall mount. and aEuro skull mount. Greg |
RE: Spring Bear Success (Pic)
Cool, I don't know what made me think it was a Canadian bear, I geuss I assumed the seasons would be closed down there by now. Alot of our zones are closed here now (Alberta), a few are open into July in the far north but I would suspect the hair quality would be going downhill by now. I like the idea of a euro mount, I think predators like bears and wolves look good done that way.
