RE: 2WD solutions

here are the best ideas. in no order, just as they came to me.
1.sh1t load of sand bags. add weight to the back end of your truck and if you do get stuck you may be able to shovel it under your tires for better traction.
2.posi in the rear-end. 2 wheels spinning=better traction than one
3.winch in the front
4.mud tires. AIR your tires way down when your going through mud. gives them more surface area.
5.keep moving when you see mud ahead! do NOT let off when you get to the mud keep them tires spinning.
6.the best idea-buy a 4WD they are made to go through more mud- you have 3 wheels spinning instead of 1 like in a 2WD. you have a front tire spinning which is where the majority of the weight is in your truck(engine is up front)
7.tow hooks are probably worthless. if your buddy is there to yank you out why don't you just ride with him in the first place if he has a 4WD?

all good points 870. also go through the mud in a low gear like 1st or second. that makes a big difference with me. tow hooks are good to have if you don't have a winch. you can use a come along. which is the route i'm taking.

RE: 2WD solutions

With a rear wheel drive vehicle, when stuck in the mud, best bet is to go back the way you came in reverse. Like the above post, go slow. Just inching your way out of trouble is better than spinning the piss out of your tires and digging a deeper hole. This goes for 2 and 4 wheel drives.
