My favorite turkey gun is a 20" Mossy 835. I've got a Limbsaver recoil pad on it and now that I've got my pet load all worked out I don't pattern it much, just drop turkeys with it. When there's a longbeard in front of it, I don't feel a thing when I pull the trigger. I use 3.5" 2.25 oz #6 hevi-13s and a jelly head choke.

The new Maxus patterned great! Hevi-Shot brand choke and Magnum Blend, or Hevi #6's give great patterns out farther than I'll be shooting at a turkey at! #5's were good too, but weren't quite as evenly spread. Had too many lines in the pattern for my liking. It would definitely kill turkeys, but not as good as the other two loads.

Helped a buddy seal the deal on a nice three bearded bird this afternoon. Come tomorrow morning, I'll be looking to score for myself!
