Went to my property Sat. and heard only one bird, and he wasn't on my property. There will be plenty hunters chasing him. All the cutting in the area is messing me up. Looks like it may be a tough year in Louisiana. There should be a good number of 3 yr. olds where I'm hunting in Texas and Oklahoma.

In Louisiana it opens on March 23, south Texas March 16, and in Oklahoma April 6. I'll be leaving on March 26 to go to south Texas for a three day hunt and OK in the first or second week of the season in April.

I drew first season here in Wisconsin which is April 10-16. Then I will buy left over tags for last couple seasons in the first part of May

Yep, I'm glad I have early seasons. I think it would kill me knowing I had to wait til May to turkey hunt.

Nah waiting ain't the problem - all the dumb, skinny, scrawny, come to any call, little boys get shot first. Give them a few more months and they plump up. HA!

Looks like we are going to have some no shows. I just don't understand why so many people sign up for a hunting contest and never check in with their team. I guess we'll have some alternates.

Yeah I guess your right. Those plump northern cornfed lazy barnyard birds are probably pretty tasty.

Yep and we don't have things that bite you, stick you, ooops gotta take that back - we got wolves and cougars now but no snakes! Least in WI and MI.
