I see we have 7 of 12 team members with a bird. Probably get 1 or 2 of those who don't have one and we've got it!

the hot streak continues! I've got to get the bird measured but I think this one might help the team hopefully it'll improve on one of my scores. Tagged out in NC but I do have some Virginia tags left and will be there this weekend.

Today's bird will forever be known as the horseshoe bird because I had one with me today. Got to my spot at just before 5 am. Walked a mile in. Heard nothing, saw nothing. Gave it until 7:50 and decided to take the long way out (1.6 miles to the vehicle). Tried some calling and couldn't strike anything. At the last intersection before I would turn towards my vehicle I looked left and nothing. Looked right and there stood a longbeard in range! He ran a few steps. I took a half a step and saw another male bird and 2 hens. They ran, my bird took a couple of steps and jerked his head up. Wrong move! Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!

20 lbs 10 15/16" BROOM and 1.25" and 1 3/16" SHARP spurs.
