I guess I need to add my story and weapon to the thread?I had been listening to a bird on a local WMA in anticipation that I would take my son there instead of a more...Should I say HIGHLY More popular public hunting area.We got lucky that morning, and so I decided to go listen for the bird on the WMA again.I set up in an open pine/oak area and set out a decoy.I had been scratching in the leaves and yelping softly.Around 7:40pm I heard something running in and thought I was about to be attacked by a coyote or something.I snatched my 870 super mag up and A big tom cleared the palmettos in time to see me.He slammed on brakes, and I kept pulling the gun up.Pulled the trigger when I got it on him.Wasn't a pretty shot, but got him anyways. He flopped around a little in the swamp, and got his tailfan wet.See pics above..

17lbs 6oz
10 1/4" beard
1 5/8" spur,and 1 9/16" spur

Date---3/22/08
Time---7:40pm
Weapon---870 super Mag 3 1/2" Winchester High Velocity 2oz #4's
State---Georgia

By the way guys, you can check the thread now where scores are posted, and we're up there. It is a great start. Nice work Ranchand. Now if we could just get a couple more seasons to open. April 6 is Go Day in Okla.
