I also dug out my 55 year old Sheridan 22 air rifle and it still works, Little dab of oil here and there and is still spot on!

Come on Spring - I want to take the kiddies on a hunt!

Air Arms TX 200 (short BBL). Has deep bluing and a walnut stock. Looker and a shooter!

My boy found a crosman g1 extreme, in a lean-to at my Moms, it was left by a horse trainer that used to work for her. The barrel was pretty rusty and the scope stripped, so a couple weeks back we got it cleaned up & sighted in, boy is it fun, accurate and cheap to shoot. My brother had one when we were kids that you had to pump 10 times, pellet guns have come along way since then. I agree it's a good, fun way to start out kids, i started my kids with a Red Ryder bb gun with the stock cut off to fit them. I'm sure his crosman .177 would humanely take out a big Gray Squirrel at close range.

IIRC, I believe it's Benjamin (or Beeman) has an .177 cal. break barrel that shoots up to 1600 fps. Sounds like a .22 rimfire. There are vid's on Youtube where large pigs are being hunted and killed cleanly w/headshots between the eyes from 30yards. DRT! Definitely isn't like it use to be. Fun? I'm sure!

While I do not own a modern air rifle, I do still have a Crosman 760 from about 1974 and a Crosman 766 from about 1976. Both rifles still shoot good and I occasionally shoot them just for fun. Both of these rifles have brought about the demise of many a Rabbit, Squirrel, Chimpmunk, Etc. Great memories from my formative years as a hunter.

I have a Crosman 760 pumpmaster that's worn out and due for a replacement. I have a Beeman Crow Magnum .25 with the Beeman 2-7 scope on it that is a beautiful gun. I've only shot it a little and plan on selling it to acquire a Beeman Marauder. Pellet guns are a fun way to remember your youth.

I have a GAMO Hunter. Very accurate, and just the thing for squirrels raiding the bird feeder.
