I'd let them walk too. I know it probably sounds kooky, but I would feel terrible about shooting a fawns Mommy right in front of him.

My Brother-in-law told me once of shooting a doe in mid November, and having to keep chasing a fawn away from her so he could dress her out. I would have cried my eyes out, right there.
