RE: sighting in new scope

First,bore sighting is going to put it on paper,but now you have to fine
tune the scope.The first thing I do after installing the rings, is check
them to be perfectly aligned with a ring aligner from Brownells.
If not they will tweak the scope and give you a fit when trying to
zero in the rifle. They are not a perfect machined pair.You might have to hone one of the rings.
Also, tighten all screws evenly and on a cross pattern.
Second, I always buy aleast 4 boxes of different brands of ammo and weights
to see which one the rifle likes best from a bench rest, starting from 25,
50 and 100yds.
