What type of feeder spin cast type? if so depending on how far away the spin plate is from the funnel will cause this problem the farther away the wind can empty it and that should not happen. With 50 gallons should last at least a few eeks depending on how often it is programmed to run and how long the motor run time is set for. Here in Michigan it was illegal for one year then they allowed them to be use but only from opening day of season and it can only cast a limit depending on the year regulations. This year it is limited to 2 gallons per day. Starting Oct 1st. If you bait it has to be spread out in a 10ft X10ft area you can't just pour in a pile. It is a good Idea to use some type of deer pellets mixed in with the corn. There are a few out there you can find. Good Luck, Mike
