Default RE: .22 Caliber Rifle

I have a 597 Remmy. I have never had a problem with jamming. Maybe 4 rounds out of a brick with the lubed lead shells, maybe 3 with the coper jackets. The key is proper lubrication and keping the action clean. I shoot with iron sights on it right now, and can get bobcats out to 100 yds. I've hit them out farther than that, but I don't chase wounded cats, and they won't drop at that range.

As far as plinking is concerned, it is within 1" at 75 yds, and again, that is with iron sights. It is a great .22 for the price. I bought it over a 10/22 because it pointed better for me, and I like the grey syn stock (I know Im weird).

My advice: pick up several and point them, buy the one that is best for you. Good advice for any gun purchase.
