I wouldnt fence - just because fence would be astronomical in price. Patroling isnt as easy as you would think. So there really is no esay answer. We do the patroling thing. Have about 1000 acres to patrol around our farm, with other land owned elsewhere. It gets real old waking up every morning of deer season even after shooting my deer and having to run people off of our ground. We are the only place that holds deer after the season starts because we have the only habitat for a 5000 acres radius. Patroling sounds easy - but it most definitely is not.
