RE: Grizzly hunting
Grizzly encounters are a little unerving. I had two at 30 yards this year. The only consolation was they had no idea I was there. It was not too bad, but bad enough. Far worse in my opinion is fishing for salmon and turning around to see a bear 50 yards or so fishing the same hole as you.
Still, the bears are amazingly tolerant and 999 out of 1000 times do the right thing. We typically have two or three maulings a year up here in Alaska which is really nothing when you consider how many people encounter the bears during the year.
