jci63, do you know what grain bullet you were using?


This really looks to me like the bullet exploded upon impact. (the bullet was too light for deer or defective)

To those who have never seen this kind of thing happen. Shoot a coyote in the shoulder with a 55gr 30-06 accelerator.
