RE: Why such a delay?
The trouble is that most companies in the hunting industry just plain and simply don't grasp the importance and the impact that their website has on not just their sales, but overall interest in their products. When you guys hear about a new bow or stand or broadhead the first logical place to look is that company's website, for the simple fact that it's really the only place to look without waiting for a little blurb to show up in a print mag two months later.
As a company that handles websites for a lot of hunting equipment manufacturers we deal with it on a daily basis. Trying to schedule times to meet with marketing people this time of year is almost a joke beause of all the trade shows, tv show productions, print ads, and other "more important" things that keep coming up.
We're working as hard as we can to help people realize the importance of their web presence, but it's not as easy of a task as it would seem.
