RE: Bowtechies: ? about Sight Windage
Matt/PA;
I have not tuned it. I just put on a rest and "eyeballed" it for centershot. I measured afterwards and it is actually 1 7/8" as most have mentioned for their Allegiance. Bear in mind, this is actually a Defender that I am setting up. When I took a couple of shots in my basement, I had to adjust my sight over 2" (from the inside of the mounting bracket) to tune to the arrow with the rest at 1 7/8". I actually had to move the rest inside centershot (by eyeballing) because my spot hogg sight would not adjust out that far.
It very well may be that the rest needs to move in some and I will find that with tuning in the very near future. I just wondered what setting you guys needed with your sights, since the Allegiance does require 1 7/8" rest offset for centershot.
I admit that I am getting the cart a head of the horse, but I wanted to shoot the bow. The problem is that the XL trophy taker I want to put on the bow has not come in, so I threw an old prong style rest on the bow for now. I did not want to go though the steps of fine tuning, but then do it all over with the new rest in a couple of days.
