Here in Illinois I know you have to be atleast pulling 40 pounds to hunt deer. I don't know if thats how it is in MI or not. But, getting her carbon arrows has it's good points and bad points. The good is that yeah, they do fly faster, but she has to becareful and inspect them before she shoots them every time. She has to remember that if they have a crack or anything, they could blow up and possibly injure her. Pulling only 30 lbs. it might not be that big of deal, but if you do go with carbons, just warn her and teach her how to inspect them. Thats great that your daughter is going to be hunting with her own bow. I bet your are very excited. Good luck and happy and safe shooting.
