Rangeball, it will work on anything that is about 3 feet tall, the deer was just an example, but if you were in a tree stand ranging different objects that were about 3 feet in height it would work just the same. I stalk hunt so I would most likely be looking at the animal more then objects. It works great at the range on targets and hay bales. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Your last question would be in my opinion only, as far as i have tested it, I would say if you looked at lets say a buck that was 3' 6&quot; tall at 20 yards it would like it was at 17 yards instead of 20, (just tried it out on my shop wall).


And sorry I said at the bottom of the belly, it is at their feet where you put the bottom line at.
