<BLOCKQUOTE id=quotequote:
Comparing the diffeculty of a certain species to hunt -vs- another can only be done by using the same hunting techniques. You started the thread by comparing turkeys to whitetails , and then changed to 4 year old buck -vs- turkey , and yet again , changed to adult buck with a bow -vs- tom turkey with a shotgun. In the last scenario , I would give the nod to the buck. Boss tom -vs- mature buck , both hunted with bow , the nod goes to the boss tom.

Yep, just like you changed turkey to "boss-tom". How does turkey come to mean "boss tom". You are exactly right. I said compare deer to turkey not deer to boss tom. Let's compare apples to apples. If we are going to compare hunting mature males then lets compare them to mature males. The comparison I made pitted "ANY" turkey male female or friggin homorphodite to "ANY" deer. Then you guys start harping on a boss tom blah blah blah. I never said anything about a boss tom.

To answer your question, NO. I have never bowhunted turkeys. I rarely ever turkey hunt any more. I just don't find it challenging enough. I have killed mature toms with a bow but it has always been in the fall. So there you have bow shotgun or rock turkeys are still the dumbest animal in the woods.

Protect your hunting rights, "Spay or neuter a liberal."
