best day rattling
Saturday I rattled 6 times and had one or more bucks approach EACH time. I have never come close to this type of results. I did change rattling antlers to a set I found-one this year and one prior. Both were larger than what I had used in the past and did make a louder noise level than what I had been using. I think I will be keeping these. By the way the last deer was an old roughed up tall rack 8 that is currently at the processor and the antlers are in my garage drying. Hit him a little lower than what I normally would aim for, but it ended up with a DEAD center heart hit and I got to see him go down after only 60 yards. All in all it was a perfect morning. By the way my son has taken the rattling antlers for the remainder of the season. I will be getting them back for next year. He may be my son but some things are more important.
