Default RE: good stand site but need help

I love hunting the edge of these thickets! One thing that I have found is the bigger bucks don't use these main trails as much as the doe's and young bucks. The bigger boys usually have there own smaller hard to see path that runs parellel to the main path! If you get a chance to view this area with snow on the ground thats the best way to find the buck trails. Look for that lone set of tracks heading in or out of the thicket. Chances are thats your shooter. For now if you only have one good tree to set up in I would do it. It's ok that the wind is working against you on the one path because chances are theres a third or fourth trail the bucks are using that you don't even know about yet. See what happens that first day and adjust your position the next time if you need to and remember to look for movement running parellel to those paths anywhere from 5 to 20 yards out.....Good luck...Jim
