Good to hear it's getting better for you! I believe a drop-away rest makes it a bit easier to shoot tight groups but in my findings only 1/4" improvement for me. However, i prefer a drop-away because I like an aggresive right helical fletch. Your groups will shrink in time. I always practice more on the long range shooting (50-80yds). Not that I'll shoot at any game that far but it makes me concentrate more on my form, release and follow thru. Gradually work up your long range shooting just like you are doing and in no time you'll be popping 1-2" groups at 30yds. Long range practice certainly makes those shots up to 30 a lot easier IMO.
