Default .25-06 Rem

I've got a load developed for my Tikka M695 .25-06 that gives me 1/2" groups at 100yds with Hornady 75gr V-Max on top of 48.5 grains of H4350, COAL 3.095". I haven't run it through the chronograph yet. Will this work for squirrels?

It will work. TOO WELL. 25-06 is WAY too big for squirrels. It's more of a deer, antelope, and coyote caliber. If you want to hunt squirrels then may I suggest a 22 lr with 36-40 grain copper plated hollow points(solid points work too) an I prefer headshots only. Doesn't ruin any meat with headshots. If you use a 2506 on a squirrel there wont be a squirrel left. Just a bit of hair and hide will be all that's left.

Yep, I will admitt the idea of using a 25-06 for squirrels is more humor that anything. I plan on using .25-06 (or .223) for coyotes. My brother did shoot a crow once with his 270 at about 100 yards. The crow turned out to be a magician. He disappeared in a puff of feathers
