Really no need to get snippy and get an attitude with me or what I said. But hey, like you said...your out there for "yourself" and no one else, so do whatever you feel is right and makes you happy.
I will take my chances with leaving scent while I'm leaving/moving rather than sit in a location where I know my scent is being blown right to deer! Did you ever think that the longer you sit in a spot, the more your scent is being broadcast downwind?
Your obviously more comfortable walking around in the woods dispersing all that same scent that you just had in the stand and probably more because your moving around thus your sweating and making and dispersing more scent, than I am. Not to be mention taking the chance of bumping deer in the last "power hour" of the day. Once again, have at it and have fun.
Oh and about you being POed in that situation...rats, I made someone mad! I could give a rip who was POed about it...I'm there to hunt for me...not you!!
Great example right there why I don't hunt public land. All about myself attitude and no one else.
But of course, you don't have to worry about the wind because you wear scent-lok...so why am I telling you!!
Except for my very 1st post, I tried to stear clear of this whole scent lok versus non-scent lok debate cause all the non scent lok guys always take that attitude. Roll your eyes, put your nose up in the air and tell me it's a gimmick and it doesn't work all you want. I can afford to buy it, it helps my confidence, so therefore I use it. Enough said. My main point of any post you've seen from me was the point of hunting the wind. Can a guy really and ultimately hunt the wind all the time? You can so it seems. Maybe some day I'll learn how to.
