If you can't kill an elk with a .270 Winchester using any of these fine bullets then you can't kill an elk and you should not be out hunting them.
Interestingly, go to Federal Cartridge and use their ammo selector. Select elk and they don't give you anything smaller than the 7mm mags to choose from.
And yet the RMEF endorses their HE 140 grain Trophy Bonded Bear Claw loading. Hmmmmmm!
